EQUIPMENT CHANGES FOR THE 2012 - 2013 SEASON
Starting next season ( 2012 – 2013 ) all River Rats players will be required to wear
black helmets, predominantly black gloves and black hockey pants ( or a black shell ).
This mandate is to create uniformity across our 8 Rep B teams and also with the Ranger
Program when our players are affiliated to their teams.
River Rats Pride The Minor Atom River Rats entered the Peterborough Liftlock 2012 Tournament
with high hopes and ended the tournament with their heads held high. Their determination and great
River Rat spirit will be remembered by more than one team who realise that the word “minor atom”
can in fact translate to “major impact” when a team’s will to win is so strong. Displaying team
work and River Rats Hockey our players made us all proud. Congratulations to the Minor Atom River
Rats for their very strong performance in Peterborough!!!
Minor Peewee's Win Clarkson Tournament
Congratulations to the Minor Peewee River Rats for being crowned the 2012
Grand Champions at the Clarkson Hurricanes Minor Peewee “A” Friendship Tournament in Mississauga, ON.
Throughout the weekend, the boys played true Rats hockey – with heart, grit and intensity from whistle
to whistle, but with the respect and sportsmanship that we expect from our kids. They proved
that we achieve more together and that 2012 can be the “Year of the Rat”.
